Hey, Cincinnati! Are you ready to #cleanYOURblock?
Last night, we kicked off the 2016 Great American Cleanup with over 60 hard-working volunteer cleanup organizers from various neighborhoods across our city. It was a great time for networking and brainstorming about how we can make the 2016 GAC the best cleanup season in KCB’s history.
We were pleased to have representatives from 2016 GAC Presenting Sponsor Dynegy, as well as Kat Pepmeyer from the Cincinnati Community Toolbank; Vice Mayor Mann; City Council member Yvette Simpson; Assistant City Manager Sheila Hill-Christian; and Director of Public Services Maraskesha Smith. The Kick-Off Celebration was sponsored by Kroger, Dynegy, UDF and the Great Lakes Brewing Company.
About the Great American Cleanup:
Every year, thousands of volunteers come together to improve the quality of life in their community during the Great American Cleanup. From March through November, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful provides cleanup supplies and logistical support for a wide variety of cleanup and beautification projects. To get involved, you can organize your own cleanup event or you can volunteer for an existing project.
