I think we can all agree that a beautiful landscaped bed, well-maintained lawn and lack of litter make for an excellent welcome into our home city. The problem with these areas is that they require a whole lot of maintenance, and unfortunately, there’s not much funding in government budgets to keep these areas looking good.
To help combat this, several years ago Keep Cincinnati Beautiful developed its Daffodils & Daylilies program to beautify highway greenspaces, welcome visitors, and deter litter. We are incredibly thankful for our long-time landscaping partner, T.R. Gear Landscaping, for working with us to make this program work–each year is different based on changing needs and budgetary constraints, and their staff of landscape professionals always answers the call, no matter how big or small! TR Gear has been our partner since 2012, and has donated service on 2 gateway beds–one at I-75 & 4th Street, and one at the entrance to the City from Columbia Parkway. Their work is consistently fantastic, and their staff is wonderful to work with. Thank you, TR Gear!
