Event Spotlight: Frederick Douglass School Community Garden

Over the course of a few weeks, Cincinnati Beautiful (KCB), a team of over twenty Lowe’s Heroes employee volunteers and other community volunteers have worked to transform a vacant, overgrown lot in Walnut Hills into a thriving community garden. Community leader, Gary Dangel, is the mastermind behind the garden’s unique landscape design and lead the project. Lowe’s contributed volunteers, supplies, materials, equipment, and enthusiasm for giving. McMicken Street in Over-the-Rhine into a vibrant public space integrating art and nature.
