Outreach Programs centering on litter prevention, recycling, composting, and proper solid-waste management are available to schools and adult groups throughout the year.

The Wartville Wizard Play - The wizard is once again ready to visit your school to teach your K-3 students not to litter! KCB transformed the Award Winning children's book by Don Madden into a play performed by students from Clark Montessori. Ring Around the Schools - In the spring and fall, local students make a "Ring Around the School" to collect litter around their campuses.

In conjunction with KCB’s Great American Cleanup, nearly 1, 600 students from Cincinnati’s public, parochial and private schools participated in “Ring Around the Schools”.  Students from 29 area schools took time from their schedules to patrol their campuses and immediate neighborhoods picking up litter.  Groups ranged in size from 15 to 295! 

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful thanks the participating teachers for caring enough about the value of litter prevention to involve their classes, and we thank all of the students who participated for helping make our city a cleaner place to live and work.

Environmental Field Trips are free and provided through the generosity of Procter & Gamble. Grades 9-12 visit the Rumpke Sanitary Landfill for an eye-opening tour. Students then visit the Rumpke MRF (Materials Recovery Facility) to learn about the recycling operation. Contact Barb for details.

Workshops are offered to provide up-to-date information on solid-waste management and litter-prevention issues. Check back often!
