> PROGRAMS > ADOPT A SPOT

What is it?
A clean-up/beautification program that encourages residents to work on improving their neighborhoods by adopting litter "hot spots," planting flowers, and removing graffiti. You are limited only by your imagination.

When is it?
You agree to clean your "spot" at least once a month.

Why do it?
To ensure a higher quality of life by encouraging beautification and litter prevention projects in the City of Cincinnati.

Who can do it?
Anyone! Organized groups, businesses or individuals may participate in the Adopt-A-Spot program.

Each Adopt-A-Spot program participant will receive public recognition in the form of an attractive sign installed by the City's Public Services Department within the adopted area. The sign will have the organization's name on it. That way, neighbors will know whose hard work went into making the neighborhood more attractive. They may even join in the efforts!

All Adopt-A-Spot projects should be on public property or in the public right-of-way, including Metro bus stops, traffic islands, vacant lots, or other common areas.
