KEEP CINCINNATI BEAUTIFUL RECYCLES THE POP FROM THE TOP

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will be collecting Pringles Lids as Part of the "Beyond the Recycling Bin" Program on Saturday, February 7th

For Immediate Release - CINCINNATI-February 7, 2004 -- This February, Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will collect the plastic lids from Pringles cans for the monthly "Beyond the Recycling Bin" program. The "Beyond the Bin" campaign concentrates on collecting mixed paper and different reusable items throughout the year to encourage citywide recycling. The items are then donated, recycled or disposed of properly.

The Pringles Lids will be donated to Keep Cincinnati Beautiful's Education Program. The plastic lids will be converted into magnets. The Education Department demonstrates how students, faculty, parents and the community all have a role in the environment.

In addition to the Pringles lids, volunteers will help unload mixed paper products such as cardboard, cereal boxes (without the plastic bag liner), beverage cases, junk mail, magazines, office paper, newspaper, Etc.

The Pringles Lid recycling drive and mixed paper recycling will take place at two different locations:

Western Hills Plaza

Behind Kroger, near Schwartze Ave.

College Hill

Old Kroger Parking Lot
