(CINCINNATI - OHIO) The heat is on, both on and off the basketball court. With the arrival of summer Keep Cincinnati Beautiful has washed off the Don't Trash the 'Nati Van and is heading out to the streets of Cincinnati to challenge local teens in a game of basketball. Cincinnati's finest will hoop it up with local youth this Wednesday, June 30, 2004.

Who: Keep Cincinnati Beautiful, Cincinnati Police, and 100.9 the WIZ

What: Three on Three Basketball Game with local young adults

When: June 30, 2004 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Where: Tot - Lot at 1600 Linn St. in the West End

Keep Cincinnati Beautiful and 100.9 the WIZ are partnering this summer to visit local teen hangouts to spread a positive message for teens to take pride in their community and stop littering it. Research shows teens commonly litter and Keep Cincinnati Beautiful is trying to stop the problem at the source. The Don't Trash the 'Nati program has been running for seven years.

The Don't Trash the 'Nati Van is equipped with a regulation size basketball hoop that can be set up at any location. This feature attracts many bystanders to come and showcase their talent. Not only do the street hits involve a game of hoops, but also includes music courtesy of the WIZ.

100.9 the WIZ pumps up the volume with live remote appearances! Their presence draws huge crowds and gives us a great opportunity to spread the "Don't Trash the 'Nati" message.

Hoop it up with us at 1600 Linn Street for a scrimmage between local teens and the Cincinnati Police.
