Keep Cincinnati Beautiful will Team Up with Community Volunteers and Delta Upsilon to Cleanup the West End.

CINCINNATI - 100 Keep Cincinnati Beautiful volunteers will be in the West End for a community cleanup on Saturday, July 27 from 1:00 to 5:00 pm. KCB has teamed up with Delta Upsilon, an International Men’s Social Fraternity, to assist residents in the West End Community beautify the neighborhood.

Delta Upsilon, headquartered in Indianapolis, is in Cincinnati this week for their 2002 Leadership Institute. Brothers of the fraternity will be sent out into the community for service projects as part of the Institute, and the West End will receive 100 volunteers for the effort on Saturday.

The main focus of Saturday?s cleanup will be Jennie Porter Park on Mound Street where the cleanup will begin. The overall scope of the event will include cleaning alleyways and community streets.

"We are extremely honored to have volunteers from Delta Upsilon participate in our community cleanup," stated Gina McFarlane, West End Community Leader. "The collaboration of Keep Cincinnati Beautiful and Delta Upsilon will help make the event a success."
